TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE INTERFERING VESSEL DURING SHIP-TO-TARGET SHIP SEPARATION AT SHORT DISTANCES

This article deals with the case of the separation of one's own vessel from the target vessel in the presence of another interfering vessel. In compressed waters with intensive shipping, situations arise when, during a dangerous approach between a our ship and a target vessek, there is an interfering ship in the area of the expected separation, which limits the ship's maneuverability. For a situation when, in addition to a dangerous target, there is an interfering vessel in the maneuvering area, and at the same time there is usually a navigational hazard, a procedure for choosing a safe course to avoid the target vessel is proposed. Analytical expressions for choosing a safe course of evasion from the target ship in both cases are obtained.
