Considered the methods of control and management of the movement of the vessel during maneuvering, in order to ensure a safe divergence, under the condition of interaction of the navigation officer with artificial intelligence. It is noted that the main cause of accidents at sea is the human factor, while in some cases the navigation officer cannot calculate in time the necessary maneuver for the safe vessel divergence. To solve the issue of ensuring the safety of navigation, the possibility of using artificial intelligence in the situation of excessive vessels approaching was considered, in accordance with the relevant norms of the international rules for preventing collisions of ships at sea, which establish the interaction of ships depending on the situation that arose during a dangerous rapprochement. It is determined that the navigation officer is able to input various data into the artificial intelligence system, such as the vessel's current position, speed, course, bearing, weather conditions and any other relevant information, in order for the artificial intelligence system to process this data using an algorithm and models for assessing the current situation and predicted the emergence of potential future scenarios. Artificial intelligence includes analysis of collision risks, assessment of the impact of weather and sea conditions, and also takes into account the maneuverability of the vessel. Based on its own analysis, the artificial intelligence system provides the navigation officer with recommended divergence maneuvers. These recommendations consider factors such as the safest and most efficient route, in order to avoid potential hazards or optimize the current route. Throughout this process, artificial intelligence has been identified as a tool that helps the navigation officer make informed decisions about the divergence maneuver and analyze a huge amount of data in a short amount of time. Through results and recommendations received from artificial intelligence, the navigation officer, taking into account his own experience, knowledge and specific circumstances, makes the final decision on the divergence maneuver. At the same time, any other important factors that could remain unaccounted for by artificial intelligence are also taken into account.
