This article considers models of automation of ship elements. It is noted that the modern ship is a more complex object in the management of which increases the complexity of the elements and tasks, which leads to the need to automate the entire ship. As one person (as well as the watch as a whole) is not able to effectively manage all technological processes on the ship, to control all parameters of engines, ship systems, auxiliary systems. In this case, the use of modern information technology is relevant. The paper notes that the complex automation of ships allows to increase the technical safety of navigation and reduce the number of crew. It also helps to increase the resource of ship's technical means; fuel economy due to the choice of rational operating modes; shortening the path as a result of the accuracy of the course when swimming; increasing the reliability of mechanisms. The task of complex automation contains a rational distribution of control and monitoring functions between the human operator and the means of automation.
So, for example, systems of automation of auxiliary engines of generators are realized in a complex with automation of ship electric power installation (EEU). Modern ship's automatic control systems provide protection, control and management of auxiliary generators. Boiler installation automation models deserve special attention. Boiler automation functions perform protection functions when the fuel pump is stopped, the torch is extinguished or there are no fuel combustion processes. Automatic control is conducted by a two-position control system.
Thus, comprehensive automation of ships allows to increase the technical safety of navigation and reduce the number of crew. It also helps to increase the life of marine equipment; fuel economy, due to the choice of rational modes of operation; shortening the path as a result of the accuracy of the course when swimming; increasing the reliability of mechanisms. The task of complex automation contains a rational distribution of control and monitoring functions between the human operator and the means of automation.
