The article explores enhancing maintenance systems for cargo ships. It examines recent research and publications revealing the necessity of monitoring maintenance system effectiveness and employing information and communication technologies to upgrade ship maintenance.
The purpose of this study is to establish and validate a methodology for modeling and constructing an information system to monitor the maintenance system's efficiency on cargo ships. The objective of the article is to create a comprehensive approach for modeling and constructing an information system that observes the maintenance system's performance as a component of an intelligent maintenance system's parameter management plan, utilizing the analytical center ShipDiMRO. The study examines systems that monitor the performance of maintenance systems for cargo ships. Whether equipped with an integrated CANopen network or not, these systems will be analyzed.
The ultimate goal of this research is to enhance the maintenance systems of cargo ships through effective monitoring, providing the ability to control for technical issues, plan maintenance, and detect malfunctions promptly.
