POWER REDISTRIBUTION CONTROLLER TO REDUCE LOAD FLUCTUATIONS IN THE SHIP'S NETWORK

The aim of the article is to develop a power redistribution controller to reduce load fluctuations generated by consumers in the ship's network. This goal is achieved by determining a system of equations for redistributing power in the network on a ship. It has been established that the power redistribution controller is based on the idea of combining frequency control according to demand and rapid load reduction. The basic idea is that the use of dynamic feedback between the power system and electric thrusters can improve frequency regulation on a ship. Due to the relatively large inertia of the ship, a rapid power modification at the thrusters by the power redistribution controller will have little effect on the response of the ship. In addition, other energy-using consumers can also be brought under control. Thus, the development of a power redistribution controller is an important task that reduces load fluctuations on the ship's network and increases the efficiency of its electrical system. The most significant result is the definition of a new approach to power redistribution control based on the correction of the difference between the actual speed of the propeller on the shaft and the set speed. This approach involves the use of two different control strategies. The first strategy is to use the feedback from the grid frequency deviation to correct the screw shaft speed deviations. The second control strategy is to use feedback from the generating system to correct torque deviations. It was found that the second strategy has improved robustness, but an observer is required to use it. For further research, it is possible to consider the directions of modelling the functioning of the power redistribution controller according to the second strategy in order to determine the reliability of the observer to the parameters of data inaccuracies and the possibility of using it for control.
