The authors propose expanding the network of meteorological buoys in the global ocean and supplementing it with mobile weather stations installed on ships. These stations would transmit data to coastal centers via satellite systems, ensuring integration with global predictive models such as GODAE/Mercator-Ocean. This approach would significantly improve forecast accuracy and enhance the safety of maritime transportation. The article emphasizes the importance of automating data collection and processing to reduce risks associated with human error. The authors call for international cooperation to implement these initiatives, highlighting the need for funding and long-term project support. The use of such systems will promote the development of shipping and minimize risks associated with adverse weather conditions.
